This reminds me of the time when I was trying to think of a birthday gift for Kurt. I was in France at the time and not able to "shop" in Los Angeles for a gift.
Kurt & I always liked grapefruit. I phoned a friend of mine to search for a full grown grapefruit tree and have it delivered to Kurt's house during his birthday party.
A truck with several men came to the house. Kurt answered the door and they asked where he wanted the tree planted. By coincidence, the tree had a single near ripe grapefruit on it.
Kurt & his guests had fun watching his birthday grapefruit tree planted in his garden. I have no knowledge whether the tree is still there.
